Aaron Shelan is the owner and founder of Shelan Sports Media, where he combines his passion for sports broadcasting with video production. A seasoned play-by-play broadcaster with years of professional experience behind the microphone, he's best known as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Chicago Dogs and can be heard on aabaseball.tv and WGN+. A graduate of the Illinois Media School, he was named "Broadcaster of the Year", a recognition of his talent, work ethic, and on-air presence.
Aaron has built his career on precision and storytelling that captures the full energy of the game. Also known for his detailed game preparation and respect for the athletes, he ensures every player and program is represented with professionalism and credibility. Through Shelan Sports Media, he leads a team that is commited to these very same values.
Joe Williamson is one of the voices of the Chicago Dogs on aabaseball.tv and WGN+ alongside Aaron Shelan. Joe graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2024 with a B.A. in Communication Studies, and has been chasing professional broadcast dreams ever since. His experience includes WGFA Radio, ONU Athletics, the Windy City ThunderBolts, Chicago Dogs, and Shelan Sports Media, among other freelance experience.
As a former baseball player and lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan, Joe's passion for sports runs deep. There's not a time of the year where there's not an entertaining game to have on the TV, or a sport that he doesn't enjoy being on the call for. Whether it's baseball, hockey, basketball, football, or anything else you can think of, Joe is up to the task!
Brandon Januska is a professional play-by-play broadcaster and currently serves as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations for the Billings Mustangs, where he calls a full Minor League Baseball season in the Pioneer League. With experience covering youth, high school, collegiate, and professional athletics, Brandon has broadcast baseball, football, volleyball, hockey, and lacrosse across radio and streaming platforms.
Brandon is a graduate of Illinois Media School's Radio & Television Broadcasting and Sports Broadcasting programs and aalso hold a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Millikin University. Before beginning his broadcasting career, he served in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division as an Infantryman and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.
Ethan Wiles is the Executive Producer of 13 WREX in Rockford and is also a Sports Reporter at the same station. He is also a Public Address Announcer for several schools and events throughout the state of Illinois. He and his wife live in Lake In The Hills.
After graduating from Illinois Media School in 2022, Mike Napoletano immediately jumped into the broadcasting world alongside Aaron Shelan and Eric Willuwiet with Stream Sports Midwest before it was ultimaately adapted into Shelan Sports Media. Mike has broadcasted Northern Illinois Hockey League games, West Aurora High School spring sports such as baseball and softball, and even sports like badminton, football and basketball.
From play-by-play & color commentary, to spotting, to videography & technical directing, he has been versatile to do it all! Mike is also the Assistant Sports Director of WRMN, and through that, he has interviewed some incredible personalities throughout the Chicagoland sports scene and beyond!
